The following tips have proven themselves to ensure that the printer works properly again:
Go to the Printers menu item in the Control Panel
Double-click your current printer to open the queue
The note "Stopped" appears at the bottom right
Now select the printer at the top and remove the check mark “Stop printer”
After that, your printer should work properly again
