 NJ Powder Coating Process

·        Pretreatment 

The first step is cleaning the substrate of dirt, oil, grime, grease, or rust. Depending on your part size and specifications, we can pretreat your components with sandblasting or chemical cleaning. 

·        Powder Coating 

Using an electrostatic gun, the powder you choose will be sprayed onto the substrate under compressed air. The charged powder particles stick to the surface due to the opposite charge. 

·        Curing

The last stage is curing, where the substrate is baked in an oven at high temperature and pressure that causes the powder to melt and adhere to the surface uniformly.
