Let’s look at two common frequencies people live on.

1. Fear

People who are afraid. It’s their automatic default, to scan and alert all the things that can go wrong. Afraid of being themselves. Expressing self. Intimacy. Failure. Being alone. What others may think. The future. The present. Starting over. And on and on and on.

These people turn muted, walk this earth a lukewarm version of themselves. The result is they limit and lock their potential, as a friend, lover, athlete, son /daughter, parent, artist, human.

Since they are not living with self-created walls, the chances of them executing their goals are low. Their fear doesn’t allow them to punch. They stutter, hide behing logic, and rarely pull the trigger on anything.

Their ambivalence keeps them in unhealthy relationships. They live in their head. Opportunities play ding dong ditch. This causes discouragement and a nasty film around their soul. They become angry, jealous, resentful, and don’t believe in change.

People who are afraid usually don’t believe they have much value. They have not convinced themselves otherwise. And since we tie worth to what we can do or not do, this wave drowns them.

They believe things aren’t happening for them because they are not good enough, pretty enough, skinny enough, smart enough, or talented enough, causing them to be pulled into a cycle that leaves them powerless, which is the difference between pain and suffering.

So now they have crossed that line. They are suffering. They go through life with a dark cloud, negative and pessimistic, believing that nothing good will ever happen to them. But the truth is it’s not them. It’s their fear that’s preventing the good from happening.

2. Fear less

I didn’t say fearless. When I hear the word fearless, I think of reckless and impulsive. We all have fear. But there are people that fear less. As an intentional practice. They, like everyone else, believe the monster is under the bed. But they refuse to hide.

These people are not trapped by their fear. They are not concerned with what others think. They make sure they are heard. They pull from their truth and lean toward their fears. And they fall. But they get back up and try again and again and learn from their mistakes and get stronger, wiser, healthier, in work, relationships, and life. They live inside out.

This mindset creates new experiences that keep proving their false self wrong. And like rungs on a ladder, their belief in self and what’s possible keeps climbing, allowing them to maneuver closer to their potential. When they are closer to their potential, they have a better chance of accomplishing their goals.

Their energy changes. They attract more people and opportunity into their lives. This process is empowering. The greatest motivator is results and they begin to see them. Now they’re burning 92 octane. They believe anything’s possible. They have a thirst for life. They become unstoppable. You’ve seen these people. They walk into a room and change the energy. These people are living on an entirely different frequency than most.

The difference between people on frequency one and frequency two is the amount of inner conflict. That’s it. The constant fight we have with ourselves is what prevents us from hitting our potential. Fear fuels inner conflict. You will not be happy unless you feel fulfilled. You can not be fulfilled if you live a life in fear.

That being said, people’s fears are legitimate. They come from their story which wires them a certain way. But everyone has a choice to change that.

What are you afraid of? Why? Is it time to conquer that fear so you no longer walk with shackles around your ankles?

I used to live on frequency one. I was angry, jealous, and miserable. I was a walking black hole. Today, I believe I’m finally living on frequency two. I have less anxiety and a greater capacity to love. Not much has changed in my life. The only difference between me now and me then is I am no longer trapped by fear.

Which frequency do you live on?
